I could go on and on but we all know Ayumi is more interesting than Naomi. She clearly has a deep connection with the story in general as a descendant of Shinozaki lineage. Meanwhile we have a very interesting character ingame who also likes Satoshi: Shinozaki Ayumi. Naomi as a character flops in my opinion, she couldn't even fulfill her duties as the "childhood friend" chara. It feels very forced, as if the game were trying to deliberately make them meet.

As if protected by Plot Armor Satoshi decides that his little sister is 2nd priority and finding Naomi is his 1st, an Earthquake happens (just because it can) which makes them the only characters to meet up with a person who were just in a different dimension before Chapter 5. Speaking of which, the whole section of Satoshi meeting up with Naomi in Chapter 4 also feels very forced. Naomi doesn't really contribute anything (apart from her 1st world problems) unlike Satoshi which atleast finds the doll which is required for the "True Ending". I also add that it also doesn't make any sense that we can't progress from Chapter 1 to 2 just because Naomi died, I would argue that Satoshi could've stayed with his little sister Yuka and he would've been fine.

I really dislike this part as in my opinion, the whole appeal of childhood friends is the flashback memories which would entice the readers to support their relationship. Not even a flashback pertaining the moment Satoshi fell in love with Naomi. Satoshi liking Naomi doesn't have any concrete reasoning apart from them being "childhood friends" by default. There's a couple of spoilers for Chapters 1, 4 and 5 here so please be advised when reading forward. This is based off of the revamped original Corpse Party (not the 98 version).
